Downtown Hammond’s Spring 2023 Picnic in the Park Announced
The Hammond Downtown Development District (DDD) announces the Spring 2023 season of Picnic in the Park. As Downtown Hammond’s premier outdoor concert series, locals and visitors look forward to enjoying Louisiana musicians in Cate Square Park. You can order your picnic spread to-go from our dozens of locally-owned food and beverage establishments in the heart of Downtown Hammond. Gather your friends and family to enjoy warm, spring evenings and local live music from 5:30 PM until 7:30 PM in Cate Square Park. Our spring season schedule is as follows:
Friday, March 31, 2023: Our season kicks off with local party-rock and dance band, Bottom’s Up. Featuring covers across the genres, this crew will enliven the night with of top party and rock-n-roll songs dating from the 60’s to present day.
Friday, May 26, 2023: Our final Picnic in the Park wraps up a “Green & Gold Night” presented in partnership with Southeastern Louisiana University Alumni Association. Picnic-goers can wear Southeastern gear for a chance to win a gift basket of Southeastern and DDD merchandise. Jesse Brooks & The Living Past, band originating from our very own Tangipahoa Parish, will fill the evening with rock and soul music.
Friday, June 23, 2023: Zachary McLain and Nouveau Soul will take the gazebo stage and rock out the evening.
