Bikes Without Borders Initiative

Last Updated 9/9/2024

This wonderful initiative was created to assist international students at Southeastern who do not have access to motorized transportation. Led by Thais Lindemayer Gomes, the initiative aims to provide Southeastern international students with a reliable means of transportation. Recognizing the challenges faced by students without motorized vehicles, this initiative seeks to bridge the gap by offering donated bicycles. The hope is to enhance the accessibility and mobility of our international students, allowing them to fully participate in campus life and the surrounding community.

Last month, with the help of Gray Cat Cycle Worx and our generous community, Bikes Without Borders was able to donate bikes to their first group of international students. The goal is to give each student a bike and a lock. Your help will make a difference. Please reach out to Thais via her email if you are interested in getting involved!
