When you SHOP SMALL, you WIN BIG!

November 28th marked the annual celebration of #ShopSmall Saturday -- a day dedicated to supporting small businesses and communities across the country. Founded by American Express in 2010, this day is celebrated each year on the Saturday after Thanksgiving.

Our #ShopSmall Block Party in Downtown Hammond was a huge hit! Over a dozen lucky community members won gift cards and prizes from retail stores within the district. Winners took home gift cards or prizes from The Rind, Ruby, Bayou Booksellers, The Red White & Brew, Boutique de Fumee, Susan's General Store, and Jenlyn's Boutique. 

TJ Maggio from Kajun 107.1 broadcasted live from outside our office during the event, creating a fun and welcoming atmosphere for everyone who stopped by.

The Hammond DDD would like to extend a sincere "thank you" to the community and local small business owners & their staff for participating in our #ShopSmall programming this year. Small businesses are the lifeblood of our Downtown Hammond community, and we hope everyone had a great day!
