OLD BUSINESS

  1. Hanson Crossing

Pierre updated the board on John’s Perriloux’s artwork status. John has started his portion of work, and it will take 2-3 months. Adam Perkins informed us that the final payment to JAC Construction is at the end of the week. Chelsea Tallo updated the committee on the bench that was requested. One would need to be ordered if the committee decided on one that would match the city benches, and it would cost $700. The committee recommended that a bench be selected that better fits the crossing’s look instead of ordering one that matches other benches in the city if the funds were going to be spent regardless. Pierre mentioned that the Mayor brought up the idea of continuing the lighting project down to the crossing area since the Pavilion will likely not be placed there.

  2. 200 Downtown sidewalk renovation: Andre Theriot

Chelsea updated the board on Andre Theriot’s progress.

  3. S. Cypress St. sidewalk renovation: Chuck Spangler

Chelsea presented their new design. Pierre mentioned the need for tree grates in the future.

  4. Façade Grant approval: 100 W Robert St.

Chelsea updated the committee. A check request was written, and the applicant would receive the funds within the next week.

NEW BUSINESS

  1. Market pavilion

Tom Pistorius updated the committee of the latest pavilion updates. The Cate heirs will need to sign off on the space’s new use as a community pavilion, which falls into the guidelines for the space’s intended use. Paul Murphy asked about the initial property site and if that was still a possibility. The lack of clear title was discussed.

  2. Committee updating: rules & regulations

Chelsea presented the rules and regulations and asked that the committee review them further. These rules and regulations will take effect in January.
