Two of the most well-known restaurant owners in downtown Hammond have fused together to bring an all-new American cuisine experience to us, known as One Thirteen Restaurant. Saul Rubio and John Wong have a special history in making downtown Hammond known for its incredible eateries. The two have been nurturing the idea of One thirteen for quite some time now with the help of John Wong’s son, Bryan Wong. It is finally coming to life on the corner of West Charles Street and North Oak Street, in an original John Desmond designed space. With a few renovations, the trio has really transformed the space into the perfect place for a beautiful restaurant filled with relaxation, enjoyment, and excitement for every guest.
One thirteen Restaurant seeks to enliven the senses through an inspired mid-century modern setting, graceful service, and new American cuisine that simply tastes delicious. On behalf of Saul Rubio, John Wong, and Bryan Wong, here’s hoping to see you soon at the newest downtown restaurant addition at 113 North Oak Street on August 1st for the opening!
